10 Step Guide to the Community Site:

You've officially joined, so now what? Here's what we suggest:

1. Be patient with the site! The huge influx of traffic due to opening up the beta version may slow things down or even crash the server. We'll take the appropriate action after evaluating the initial response.
2. Click on "Account" in the top right corner and fill out the personal fields.
3. Click on "Change Profile Photo" and upload something sexy.
4. Click on "Manage Email Updates" and get everything situated how you would like it.
5. Click on "Profile" on the left navbar to view yourself. There are 4 tabs, Activity, About, Gallery, and Blog. This is your page.
6. Click on "Collection" on the left navbar. This is where you can create your Have/Want list by clicking "Add Products to Your Collection." This list is used to determine the best possible trades for you by comparing it to other members' Have/Want lists and Covenant TCG's Have/Want list. Be sure and include things on your have list so we can help you find what you are looking for. Feel free to fill in your collection if you're feeling like getting organized.
7. Click on "Blogs". This is where you can create content, whether it's a rules question, a tactical question, a faction question, or just an idea that you have. Other members will be able to view whatever you write and rate/comment on it. You can click "Browse Blogs" to look at a list of other blogs on the site, or "Rank Blogs" to be presented with a random blog for you to evaluate.
8. Click on "Decks." This is where you can use our deck builder to create a deck/army, which can then be rated and commented on by other members of the community. "Browse Decks" and "Rank Decks" function exactly the same as "Browse Blogs" and "Rank Blogs." Try it out!
9. Click on "Groups." This is where you can create a specific group whose information can be exclusive to that group. For instance, I might create a group called "Minnesota Monsterpocalypse Players" in order to organize meetups or big tournaments in Minnesota.
10. Now go tell all your friends about this site. Be sure and tell them to enter the e-mail you used to sign up in the 'who recommended you' field on the create / registration page. Trust us, you'll want them to to do this.

That's it! You've seen the basics of the site. You can add members as friends, view suggested trades, read blogs, post decks or armies, and get to know other players. Don't be afraid to use the "Search" function to find members that you'd like to be friends with. Also, keep in mind that this is a beta version of the site, so it is not very pretty, and some things might not function exactly how we'd like. We have a huge list of fixes that is always being worked on, but please provide us with all of your feedback by going to the contact page and giving us your ideas. We're really looking for ways in which we can make this site much more user-friendly. Thank you for helping us create a much better community for gamers everywhere!

What is the Community Site?

The community site is a project that has been developed over the course of the past year. The community site serves to replace a traditional forum, while offering extra goodies such as a deck builder, a collection manager, trading, chat, selling, blogs, and a social network. To find out more, please visit the about page linked on the bottom left.

Why would I want to be a member of this community?

Over the many years that we have been involved in these games, we realized that there are several different types of gamers found within a community. There is the gamer who is always on the forums. There is the gamer who plays with 1 friend on the weekends. There is the competitor. The collector. The painter. The casual guy. There are all sorts of us.

That being said, we really wanted to add features to this site that benefitted all types of players. For example, the "Collection Manager." By adding your collection to this site a few things occur. First, you become a bit more organized. Second, your have and want lists are scanned hundreds of times daily against other players' have and want lists to see if there is someone we recommend you trade with. Third, your lists are always compared to Covenant TCG's buy list, which shows you what we will gladly accept for cash or store credit. Overall, this should reduce the cost of playing a collectible game and further reduce the amount of time required to find people to trade with.

Another great example is the blog feature. Maybe you aren't the writer type but you do post questions on the forums of your favorite game. Or maybe you are the writer type. Either way, this allows you to post a blog, a question, a thought, a combo, etc. and have the community at large available to respond.

Does it cost to be a member?

You can click the membership link below, but no... It's free.

What makes this site better than a forum?

Although forums are great and have served a valuable role throughout the history of gaming, this site offers so much more. Most importantly, it is a complete social network. By adding various players of the game you play to your friends list, you can follow what they do through the updates section on the homepage. Further, each time someone does something that interacts with you, your blogs, your decks, your collection, etc. you can find out through e-mail or the notifications section on the homepage.

Even further, on a traditional forum your ability to build and discuss decks is quite limited, and definitely not integrated throughout the entire site. On this site, you create the deck using a deck-builder, which is linked to a database containing all the cards/miniatures in the game. You can filter this database by set, faction, etc. Once the deck is built, you write a summary of what you are trying to accomplish with it, and then the second that you click "ok," your peers will be viewing, ranking, and commenting on the deck. For as long as the game is played players will be able to find and analyze your deck, learning from your experience and knowledge.

Added to all of this is a collection manager, chat, a dedicated trade-making database, and much more and it just makes a traditional forum feel a bit obsolete.
