I hope this is not considered to be too much of a noob thing to do but I would love advice on what I should get as a new monpoc player. I am currently most interested in the savage swarm for their neat aesthetic and I just like that they share their agenda with the planet eaters. I would like to run brawl heavy lists over ranged which I know is usually frowned upon. Any advice on what units and monsters would help me achieve such a list would be wonderful to have. Thanks in advance.

For the Destroyers AGN, there is no better unit brawl boosting monster than Xaxor. 2 Explodomites and a razor beetle with a Harbinger Shard nearby = deadly unit destruction.
If you are set on Savage Swarm though, Mantacon, Mega if you have him, is the way to go. I wouldn't go all brawl however. A couple grunt cliff hoppers with an elite are really handy for getting a few p-dice when you really need it with their power gorge. Other than that, grunt razor beetles with Explodomites still do wonders. Tack on a Destructomite or Vice Pincher when it comes out for the flank. Crawlers are another nice debuff to brawl forces. An explodohawk always does some good. A constrictor will add another debuff to a combrawl. You could be looking at a -3 def with a Constrictor and a Destructomite in range of a Crawler.

Those are all awesome ideas and I love the planet eaters on principle but they just look a little off. Where is a place i could go to amass a small army on the cheap.

I actually just did a full buy in of Savage Swarm, list as it stands:

Manatacon + Ultra
4 Cliff Hopper
2 Elite Cliff Hopper
2 Razor Beetle
2 Elite Razor Beetle
2 Steel Back Roach
3 Spy Fly

This was just an initial buy in and is not really fully capable as a list, yet. A lot of tuning to do.

Learn teleporter maps too.

They may seem intimidating at first, but they are truely where brawly armies shine.

Killer Canals is a great example. Xaxor, Mantacon, and Vorgax love that map.

Also, invest in some explodomites. The trick with them is not to lead the attack with them, but rather to let them join the attack as they provide 1 a and 2 b, move decently, and only take 1 a dice to spawn.

Monsters don't take advantage of the teleporters right?

But I can see where those would increase the utility of the Razor beetles. . .

Im just really hoping to run a really tough army with Xixorax when BIJ comes out. I just love the idea of starting a faction fresh with a new and very appealing monster.
