I built this army with the idea of out running and out ranging my opponent. The speed and ability synergy present allow me to move in quickly and disrupt my opponents power dice generation. It also allows me to get damage in on my unit activations.

My ideal turn 1 when going first will be advancing towards the center of the map to secure some buildings. Hopefully this will force the majority of the action to start in the middle of the map. On my second unit activation I'll focus on securing a radar array, bank hq, or statue of liberty closer to my spawn points. From here I'll use the G1's to poke into my opponent side of the board and destroy buildings and units.

I'll also be using my G1's and Rocket Choppers to screen for Sky Sentinel. I am not too good at this strategy yet, but I'm hoping in time I'll become solid at protecting myself from power attacks.

The Rocket Choppers and G1's also allow me to get damage in on my opponent's monster during my unit activation. For example, I can use 1 Rocket Chopper, 1 G1 Strike Fighter, and 1 G1 Strike Fighter elite to roll a blast attack with 3-4 Action Dice + 8 Boost dice (2 for each G1 + G1 gets a boost from Elite + Each Unit gets +1 from Sky Sentinel) plus your opponent would get -1 Defense assuming your Rocket Chopper (or another Rocket Chopper) was within 2 spaces of the monster. I could potentially roll 2 of these attack, which should hit 7+ damage on average.

The buildings are fairly obvious choices along with the inclusion of the mobile ops center and the repair vehicle. The Mobile Ops center will likely only see play if I cannot get a Radar Arrary secured and I am considering replacing this with another repair vehicle.

Jason Miller says: My only concern is for the Rocket Choppers. A speed of 5 is ok, but I'd make darn sure I took that Oil Refinery and kept it. A freaking speed 9 G1 would be frightening!

Love it!

Zach Bunn says: Yes... yes it would be frightening. What's scarier is 2-4 9 speed G1's + radar array's + Sky Sentinel. The range and speed on those is just sick. I can't wait!

Jason Miller says: Yeah, Sky Sentinel is a freaking beast.

G.U.A.R.D. has really nice synergy.

Zach Bunn says: I really need to get those G1's. I'm 0-2 without them. :( Bring me those boost dice! Jul 9, 2009

Kenneth Jenkins says: Definitely take a second repair vehicle over Mobile Ops
And the Refuel truck may be a good filler in case your Statue gets taken out, allowing you to move out of harms way

Terrence Miltner says: A solid list. Yeah, I'm regretting not trading for a fourth G-1 sooner as no one around here has a spare. I'm trolling the trading boards here.

As to your list, I'd drop the Nuke and an Apartment Building for the Govt Bldg, another Bank HQ or maybe the Imperial building.

I'm looking at a Mega Sky Sentinel list myself that I'll post when I have it and my laptop in the same place at the same time.
