Nice. I like this strategy. I haven't used morphers before, so this really helps. I like the idea of securing the apartment building + the towers. Let's you get a ton of units out rather quickly. This means they almost had to stay away from you.
The question for me now is how do you get past say Sky Sentinel. Sky Sentinel likes to stay well guarded on his side of the map. So if neither of us are going for each other and we can both heal... just makes for a long game. |

Going against Sky Sentinel will definitely be a long game, but remember that Ancient O can heal a lot faster than Sky Sentinel. And in addition multishot on the Cthulobites can really decimate the g-fighters. It's just important to take out the Guard Powerbase. Sky Sentinel is scary due to his units, not so much he himself. And a nasty trick is to plop down the elite corrupter next to him while attacking with the tentacles. In addition to doing loads of damage (his def goes down by 2, 3 if a cthulobite is nearby), the corrupter has jam, taking away all the great abilities that SS gives his units. I usually spend one turn of the game rearranging the turn order so that my activations follow his.. so my monster activates after his. Makes it much easier.
Btw. do you have an instant messenging program such as skype or MSN, or do you use the chat here on the board? |

Neat deck, I like it. A lot of my local gaming group underestimate Spitters, this deck would demonstrate why they should be feared. |

I wouldn't really call spitters good, it's just all that Cthul has. :)
Cthul is a faction that has really strong support abilities and really weak units. Which is of course fine as that is what gives the faction flavor. Terrasaurs on the other hand have awesome units and less "frills"
Cthul took a big hit with the proliferation of explosion and chain reaction as they live off of their red abilities, which sets them up for devastating counter attacks. |

This deck only makes me more excited to try out Osheroth. Hopefully I will get to very soon. |

I played against Ancient O a few times.
My opponent did not like the way I used my missile saucers.
Anyway, spitters should never be underestimated, but they are honestly the only units Cthul have that can kill off targets without too much help. Not to mention that they still suck when you compare them to G1s, bellowers, katanas, vanguards, and even scorchers. |

Against martians Cthul does really well as you can use the towers and an elite spitter to really mess up their low def units. And Cthulobites can actually 3A blast for multishot. On the other hand, with Marauders, one really loses a lot of functionality as Cthul because one can't really use the red abilities. |

Pingu,
I would take a Cthulabite over everything you just listed with the exception of katanas.
Zach,
Once again, cthulabites. With that many towers he can summon, and multishot three g1s a turn.
Osh is one of the nastiest things in the game when played correctly. I'd say your only prayer for SS against Osh is Boardwalk brawl where power/beatback is limited.
Adrian,
Insurance is a must have. I also find Oil Refinery is a must.
8x spitters is heavy. I'd go 4 and 2 or 3 and 3. 3rd elite spitter if only for summoning purposes. He's nasty when he comes off a tower, granting radar to manufacture.

Also, which two tentacles are you using for your strike team?
Osh is nasty in that, his Alpha is actually better than his ultra despite the annihilate.
We've found that summon tentacle plus beatback tentacly is actually better than penetrator/beatback. You still get the minus 1, and the potential for overload.
You'll never be sitting back with him even though he's squishy. Take it to their side of the board, you have the towers to do it! |
